APRIL FORUM MEETING SUMMARY

Health and Wellbeing Warminster continues to play a vital role in bringing together local organisations, services, and community groups to improve support for local residents.

At its April 2026 meeting, held at Warminster School, members highlighted the group’s core mission: ‘connecting people with the help they need, encouraging collaboration, and speaking up on key local issues that really matter to the community.’

Recent achievements include progress toward restoring pharmacy services in the town, organising a major Health and Wellbeing Fair with over 40 exhibitors, and advocating for local access to mobile breast screening.

HWB Warminster also maintains a growing website as a central hub for public information.

Guest speakers at the April meeting showcased initiatives that directly benefit community wellbeing.

Wessex Rivers Trust raised awareness about everyday chemicals harming rivers and public health, while the partnership that is Celebrating Age Wiltshire, currently led by Age UK, highlighted the value of creative programmes tackling loneliness among older people through arts and social activities.

At the meeting, members emphasised the group’s value in building partnerships, sharing knowledge, and strengthening local networks.

Written updates from other group members included financial support schemes, energy advice services, and new community projects.

With over 70 members and strong links to local councils, HWB Warminster  continues to act as a powerful, community-led voice—helping ensure Warminster residents can access the services, support, and opportunities they need to live healthier, more connected lives.
