Volunteers are the lifeblood of our communities. From helping at local events to simply being there for someone in need, volunteers make an enormous difference.
Are fewer people volunteering? National figures suggest a decline. Ten years ago, 45% of adults in England volunteered; today, that figure has fallen to just 28%. While COVID-19 played a part, it doesn’t explain the whole story—and national trends don’t always reflect what is happening right here in Warminster.
We want to hear from you Health and Wellbeing Warminster wants to hear from people in Warminster and the surrounding villages. We have launched a short, anonymous survey to understand:
- What motivates you to volunteer?
- What makes volunteering easy and enjoyable?
- What stops you from volunteering, or makes it difficult to continue?
Why it matters Volunteering benefits everyone. It helps individuals learn new skills, build relationships, and gain a sense of purpose. In fact, formal volunteering contributes an estimated £24.69 billion to the UK economy each year!
Have your say Whether you volunteer several hours a week, an hour a year, or have only ever thought about getting involved—your experience matters.
Please take a few minutes to complete our survey below and help us support more people to get involved.
